This medication is for adults with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar levels are not adequately controlled through diet and exercise alone.
Dosage
The typical starting dose is 1-2 mg once daily, taken with breakfast or the first main meal of the day. Your doctor may adjust the dose in 1-2 mg increments every 1-2 weeks based on blood sugar response, up to a maximum of 8 mg daily. Patients at increased risk of low blood sugar will start with 1 mg once daily.
