Anate Tablet X 12 contains amodiaquine and artesunate, two antimalarial medicines that work together to treat uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria. They kill malaria parasites and are used when the infection is not severe.
Who is it for
This medicine is designed for older children and adults. It should not be used in infants or by people allergic to artesunate or amodiaquine, or those with liver disease, previous low white blood cell counts or eye problems. Pregnant women and people with liver or kidney disease should consult a doctor before use.
Dosage
The dosage depends on body weight: children weighing 9–18 kg usually take one tablet daily for three days, children 18–36 kg take two tablets daily for three days, and those over 36 kg (including adults) take four tablets daily for three days. Always follow the instructions from your healthcare provider, who may adjust the dosage.
