Amcard 10mg Tablet is a long‑acting calcium channel blocker containing amlodipine that helps lower high blood pressure and relieve angina by relaxing and widening blood vessels.
Who is it for
This medicine is intended for adults with hypertension or chronic stable or variant angina. It may also be used with other medicines to treat high blood pressure. Do not use if you have severe hypotension, cardiogenic shock or a known allergy to dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers. Use with caution in people with liver impairment, and seek medical advice before taking if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Dosage
The typical starting dose is 5 mg once daily; your doctor may increase this to 10 mg once daily depending on your blood pressure response. Take the tablet at the same time each day with or without food, and do not exceed the prescribed dose.
