Adrenaline (epinephrine) 10 mg/mL Injection contains epinephrine, a potent medication that stimulates alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors to rapidly raise blood pressure, relax airway muscles, and reduce swelling. It is used in emergencies to treat severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), restore cardiac activity in cardiac arrest, and manage severe asthma or croup.

Who is it for
This medicine is for use by healthcare professionals in life‑threatening situations such as anaphylaxis or cardiac arrest. It should only be given to patients who are experiencing a severe allergic reaction, cardiac arrest or severe bronchospasm under medical supervision. People with heart disease, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism or diabetes, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and children require special caution and dosing adjustments.

Dosage
For anaphylaxis in adults, a typical dose is 0.3‑0.5 mg (0.3‑0.5 mL of 1 mg/mL solution) given intramuscularly into the thigh and may be repeated every 5‑15 minutes as needed. For children, the dose is 0.01 mg per kg body weight up to 0.3 mg. In cardiac arrest, 1 mg of a diluted 0.1 mg/mL solution is given intravenously every 3–5 minutes. Dosing and route are determined by a doctor or emergency responder, so always follow the healthcare provider’s instructions.
